How to read vehicle license plates.

Before discussing the list of number plate codes in Indonesia, it's good to know in advance how to read them. The number plate is at least divided into three parts, namely the initial letter, number plate number, and the letter after the vehicle number, each of which has a meaning.

Central Java divides the number plate into several areas. The following is a list of license plates for motorized vehicles and their regions in Central Java:

• AA: Kedu, Purworejo, Temanggung, Magelang, Wonosobo, and Kebumen.

• AD: Karanganyar, Sukoharjo, Boyolali, Surakarta, Wonogiri, Sragen, Klaten.

• K: Blora, Cepu, Jepara, Pati, Grobogan, Kudus, Rembang.

• R: Banjarnegara, Banyumas, Cilacap, and Purbalingga.

2. Yogyakarta Special Region Vehicle Number Plate
