The Daihatsu Sigra is a Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) segment that is classified as fuel efficient and is sold at prices starting at IDR 129 million. Other Daihatsu models that are no less in demand are the Grand New Xenia, All New Terios, Gran Max PU, and New Ayla.

3. Honda

Another Japanese car brand that dominates the automotive market in Indonesia is Honda, which recorded sales of 25,393 units (wholesales) and 23,134 units (retail sales). Honda presented the CR-V and HR-V models which turned out to be champions because they controlled 13.3% of the country's car market share.

In the past, the Honda Jazz was the most popular type of Honda car, now there is the Honda Brio which is selling up to 4,973 units in the January-May 2021 period. Other Honda models that are no less coveted by automotive lovers are the Mobilio, All New Jazz, Honda Brio, and All New City.

4. Mitsubishi Motors

Another car brand that is no less in demand in the country is Mitsubishi Motors. This manufacturer was able to record sales of 21,754 units (wholesales) and 21,384 units (retail sales).

The Mitsubishi Xpander is the best-selling model. The car, which is sold starting from Rp. 250 million, comes with the Dynamic Shield concept which makes it look more sporty and elegant. 5. Suzuki

One of them is the Suzuki Ertiga which is the best-selling model at Suzuki. This car is sold at a starting price of IDR 270 million which has a modern and elegant exterior appearance. The Association of Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) released wholesale data on car sales in Indonesia in July 2022. Here we summarize the 10 best-selling cars throughout July 2022 for those of you who are looking for new or used cars.

1. Toyota Avanza

The Toyota Avanza was ranked first as the best-selling car in July 2022 sales yesterday. A total of 7,542 wholesale units were sold, which is an increase compared to sales in June 2022 with a total of 6,172 units.

Since its presence in 2003 ago, the Toyota Avanza has attracted the hearts of Indonesian automotive lovers. This car is equipped with advanced features, one of which is the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) safety feature which includes Pre Collision Warning and Braking, Pedal Misoperation Control, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, and Front Departure Alert. Toyota Avanza comes with two engine options of 1,500 cc and 1,300 cc with a choice of manual and CVT transmissions.

2. Toyota Calya

In second place, there is a best-selling Toyota Calya in July 2022. A total of 4,757 units were sold. With these numbers, the Toyota Calya can be said to have increased quite significantly. When compared to the previous month, this car was ranked number five with total sales of 4,035 units.

This of course cannot be separated from the specifications owned by Calya. Plus this car has an affordable price for the Indonesian family segment. As an LCGC car, the Calya, which is sold starting at Rp. 158 million, is considered very fuel efficient so it is suitable for use as an online taxi vehicle fleet or a car rental service company.

3. Daihatsu Sigra

Daihatsu Sigra sales were quite good as the third best-selling car during July 2022. There were 4,315 units of this car sold in the market, although it was a decrease from June 2022 which sold 5,350 units.

Honda Brio comes with five types, namely Honda Brio EM/T, Honda Brio E CVT, Honda Brio RS M/T, Honda Brio RS CVT, and Honda Brio Satya M/T. In the second generation, this car is designed to be more sporty and stylish.

6. Honda HR-V

The Honda HR-V is a compact SUV segment car that occupies the sixth position as the best-selling car in Indonesia in July 2022. The Honda HR-V has sold 3,457 units.

Currently, Mitsubishi Xpander cars are sold at prices starting at IDR 253 million. For engine performance, Mitsubishi is equipped with an engine with a capacity of 1,499 cc, 4 cylinder, MIVEC, DOHC which is capable of producing power up to 103 HP and a maximum torque of 141 Nm.

8. Toyota Innova

Toyota Innova recorded sales of 2,658 units in July 2022 and took the eighth position. When compared to the previous month, Innova sales decreased from 3,448 units sold.

Toyota presents two engine options on the Toyota Fortuner, namely gasoline and diesel. For the diesel variant, this car is equipped with an engine with a capacity of 2,393 cc 4-cylinder coded 2GD-FTV with a variable nozzle turbo so that it can produce 147.5 hp of power with a maximum torque of 400 Nm.
