New Car Lineup to be Unveiled at GIIAS 2023

Several automotive brands will take advantage of the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 event to introduce their latest vehicles. Want to know the list of new cars at GIIAS 2023? Here, we present the information for you.

 

The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 exhibition will be held from August 10th to August 20th, 2023. It is worth noting that GIIAS 2023 will feature 49 motor vehicle brands. Among them, there are 29 passenger vehicle brands, including BMW, Toyota, Suzuki, Nissan, Honda, Daihatsu, Mitsubishi Motors, KIA, Hyundai, Wuling, Mercedes-Benz, Mazda, Subaru, Lexus, Audi, Haval, Chery, Citroen, DFSK, GWM Tank, Maxus, MG, MINI, Neta, Ora, Porsche, Seres, Volkswagen, and Volvo.

 

Additionally, there are 5 commercial vehicle brands present, namely Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, Toyota Commercial, Hino, and UD Trucks. Moreover, 15 two-wheeler vehicle brands will also be featured, including Astra Honda Motor, Harley-Davidson, Vespa, Alva, Aprilia, Benelli, Exotic, Ion Mobility, Keeway, Motoguzzi, Pacific, Piaggio, Polytron, Royal Enfield, and Segway. Furthermore, three renowned coachwork companies, Adi Putro, Laksana, and Tentrem, will also be participating. Here are some of the new cars at GIIAS 2023.

 

List of New Cars at GIIAS 2023

1. Lexus

Lexus is a luxury car brand originating from Japan. Until now, the latest Lexus model to be introduced at GIIAS has not been disclosed. However, this premium automotive brand will likely present a new battery-based car with innovative electrification technology.

 

2. Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed its presence at GIIAS 2023 after a 2-year absence. In the GIIAS 2023 exhibition, the renowned German automotive brand will unveil 2 latest electric SUVs, known as EQS-SUV and EQS Edition One.

 

3. DFSK

The next new car at GIIAS 2023 comes from DFSK. It is worth noting that DFSK has confirmed the release of the Seres E1 electric car at the GIIAS 2023 exhibition. Previously, this car was introduced at the Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) 2023 in May 2023. In GIIAS 2023, the Seres E1 will have its Indonesian premiere for the first time. The official price and other details of the car will also be announced at the event.

 

4. Honda

Honda plans to showcase 5 electric cars at the GIIAS 2023 exhibition. Additionally, they will introduce another new car. Although the specific model is not mentioned, the new car likely is the latest All New Honda CR-V.

 

5. Neta

Neta, the automotive company from China, will also participate in the exhibition and showcase several of its flagship products. They will present at least five new cars at GIIAS 2023. While the specific models have not been detailed, it is predicted that among the five cars, the Neta V will be featured. Additionally, there will be 2–3 cars available for test drives at GIIAS 2023.

 

6. Daihatsu

Daihatsu, the automotive brand from Japan, will also introduce its latest vehicles at this exhibition. Although the specific model of the car has not been disclosed, it is suspected to be a "world premiere".

 

7. Toyota 

As the market leader in Indonesia, Toyota aims to maintain its lead by introducing its latest cars at GIIAS 2023. In the exhibition, there is a possibility that Toyota will introduce concept cars, as well as the latest Alphard and Vellfire models. Additionally, Toyota will announce the price of the RAV4 electric car during this event.

 

8. Mitsubishi

The next new car at GIIAS 2023 comes from Mitsubishi. According to circulating rumors, Mitsubishi Motors will launch The New SUV, which is the mass-production version of the XFC Concept. Embracing the theme "Life's Adventure," Mitsubishi's booth will present three zones called Daily Life's Adventure, where the new SUV from Mitsubishi will be officially unveiled.

 

9. Hyundai 

The renowned brand from South Korea has confirmed its plan to introduce a crossover model based on Stargazer at the GIIAS 2023 event. The car will compete in the Low SUV class and is expected to be named Hyundai Stargazer X.

 

10. Subaru

Subaru plans to introduce a new car that is likely to be an SUV. Although the full details of the car have not been announced, it is expected to have large dimensions, a spacious interior with luxurious touches, and the use of high-quality materials.

11. Mazda 

Mazda declares that they have the latest lineup in Indonesia, which includes vehicles in the SUV segment. They also mention that there will be 10 display units showcased, and the MX-30 will be present at the exhibition. Additionally, Mazda has a new product that will be launched at the end of July 2023.

 

12. MG

After the successful launch of the MG 4 EV, which received a positive response from the public, Morris Garage (MG) plans to introduce a new electric car at the GIIAS 2023 event. Arief Syarifuddin, the Marketing & PR Director of MG Motor Indonesia, states that they are planning to surprise the audience by presenting the latest electric car at GIIAS 2023.

 

13. KIA

KIA will also unveil a new car at GIIAS 2023. However, the specific identity of the car has not been disclosed in more detail.

 

14. Volvo 

Volvo will make a comeback in Indonesia and participate in the GIIAS 2023 event. They plan to introduce several of their car models at the exhibition. Ratih Perdanakusuma, the PR & Marketing Manager of Volvo Cars Indonesia, also explains that Volvo will present 5 electrified vehicles, including hybrids and fully electric cars.
